I think I sabo-ed my mgr... A nice mgr... Feel so bad... Dropped him an email to apologise... But he's nice la, dun think he'll scold me or wat... Haiz...

Feel so over-loaded... So many jobs ongoing and like due altogether... Having bad headache also... Been so tired, just knock out once I reached home... No energy to do anything else or think of anything... Everyday I'm just counting down to the day i can have my freedom n joy back... think 4 more months... faints... Still so long... It'll come soon... Peak is like almost over... N I made it thru...

So 4 more months will be over in a jiffy too... I hope n pray that I wont be so sian everyday... HS help me to brighten up... Take things easy... Everything's alright... I've got Jesus with me... :)

Book Review - The good women of China

Recently I just finished reading a book called the good women of China. The author was a journalist who used to work as a radio broadcaster in China. She asks the women to call in to share their stories and they can remain anonymous in order to protect themselves.

So there were many cases of rapes cos the ppl were deprived of normal sexual relationships with their wives due to the war. Women were abused and tortured, some even lost their minds. In the poorest tribes of China, where one has to travel long distances to get in, the women were traded as commodities. The food they ate were also miserable.

As I read each story, I really feel that I am so blessed where I am. A caring and loving family. A safe place. Having a good education. Having equal standing with men. Given the same opportunities. Not prejudiced against...

Any one wanna borrow the book, let me know k? You'll really feel that those men shld be killed and the women are so pitiful... Each chapter talks abt one story of a woman, and it's really easy to read. All biographies, the author interviews them and write their stories down... Yep... :)

Tough life...

Been feeling quite horrible cos having to deal with a difficult mgr... just felt my tolerance level towards her is low low low... i had to keep telling myself, relax, just finish up the job, get the fs signed n move on... Yep so this is what i keeping me going for now...

Just ganna another job today... Heard the mgr very detailed... i pray that i can get into the gd books of this mgr, nvr do his job b4... prayerfully i can brak some records... heard from another colleague that he gave 1,000 review points for dunno 7 or 8 companies... it's like ermz... no wonder i always see ppl sitting down beside him to clear pts... But well... Thank God that these jobs are towards the end of the peak, at least now can breathe a bit better... As in like not so rush, but still muz faster finish up n wrap up...

i wanna wrap up all my jobs b4 i leave... think it's not very nice to leave things dangling there n just leave... so dun dun dun give me more jobs le, i scared i cant clear finish la... haiyo... but cant tell my boss that... haiz...

yep, heard a lot of ppl also planning to leave... think we'll see who will be the 1st n who will be the last... i think i'll be one of the last few now, cos my leave more or less gone... haiz...

But i going bangkok soon... Yep, looking forward to that day man... 2nd time i'll be on a plane... budget again but better than going m'sia by coach... heh... at least this time it's a little further... n with fun buddies... heh... yep yep... so u wanna get anything, let me know k? going in jun. think will be very hot but well...

oh ya, that day i went out with Ken, tues nite... dunno why no meeting... then we were at ps... then he forced me to go try out my ring size... faints man... so obvious... hahha cos b4 that i read bruce msg to him... have you found the ring? which he dismissed as bruce been bugging him abt when we getting married... but well, looking at his expressions, i know he was lying... hahaha... it's so funny la... but it's interesting to see how things turn eventually... as for now... it's just jiayou jiayou jiayou... then faster bkk come then my driving test... i wanna pass this time round man.. so frustrating n so ex la... yep... so i'm going to pass it!!! :)

Ceilings...

We had a zone meeting with Jeremy last friday. Was really impacted by what he shared abt on ceilings we have set for ourselves, consciously or sub-consciously. So impacted that I called up Melinda on Tues nite and shared with her cos she missed it last fri...

This msg has been haunting me for the past week... I have been in my company for the past 2.5 years le... Have been taking it quite relaxedly... In the sense that I just do the minimal, such that wont get scolded by mgr or client. I know I can do better, but the resistance is very great and the motivation to break thru is not there... Cos in a few months time, I shld be out of here... So was really challenged by his msg that I just kept working and working for this week... Sleeping at 2+, 3 everyday and waking at 7 to go to work... So drained this week, but I know that I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me.

But even as I continue to expound on this word, there are 2 more expansions which I feel that this word can be applied...

1) DUN let other ppl's 'ceiling' hinder you from breaking through!!!
Why is your breakthru dependent on others? You need to remove all baggages, leeches which are clinging onto you so that you can run and soar... At the rate that God has spoken to you. By allowing someone else's problems to be your problem, you'll always be slower... THen you see ppl ard you exceeding you, winning the race in front of you and you will become lethargic and give up... So in the 1st place, dun let ppl leech on you...

2) Dun set ceilings over other ppl...
Similarly, we shldnt help others to limit what they can do in Christ... We shld always challenge the ppl ard us, this will stir us to keep going also... As we challenge ourselves to break through each glass ceilings, we need to encourage and pull the rest of the ppl ard us to do the same also... Then it'll be fun and a joy for the ppl to be striving ppl and this is how we all breakthru and grow together...

Yep... So these are the things which are constantly bugging me.. And I am in office now.. But am leaving soon... going dinner then home... I can do it!!! I can excel... I can complete all the things which are outstanding... I can... I want to... I muz... Yeah!!!

Back to prawning again...

Yep yep... We'll be going prawning this coming sat morning at this place near Bishan Park... Hmmm... It's at the cross junction bet Marymount Road n Sin Ming Ave...

Been some time since I last went prawning le... KNow that it's going to be lots of fun... Wanna more friends come n play... But realised my friends quite limited... Upset... Hahaha... Hmmmm... I shld go think who to jio... Cheap some more... Cos we got a great deal... I think more ppl come more fun... U free? Sat morn... Call me kk? :)

Seam bursting

I was in the office today when i turned my head to the left and saw some hairy flesh... Erm... Ok ok... The guy beside me? The right side of his pants were torn at the seam... The upper thigh part, then he was crossing his right leg at the ankle so while I was turning my head to the left, I saw it la... Then I quickly turned back n continued working... Not sure if he knows abt it... Oops...

This happened to me too... Hahhaa... Twice these few weeks le... Both times i discovered it myself... Just hoping that no one else saw it before me... Both were pants...

One was on the left inner thigh... Which I discovered during lunch... So I went back office and took a stapler and went to the toilet n stapled it back... Hahaha... Then I even went for driving lesson after that... Heh...

The other one was on another pair of pants, at the area below the zip... Found it at client's place... As the hole was not visible while walking, I left it... And I cabbed back home after work, so quite safe la...

So I think I going to check all the seams of my clothes b4 I wear... Especially for those clothes which have been more than a year old... Better be safe than sorry... Imagine I have a hole at my bum and I wont know it... So paiseh... Hahaha... And I think u shld go check ur clothes too...

I thot if this title cos of that chains are breaking song... Hahaha... Still cant get it out of my head... So here it's seams are breaking... Hahahaha... Lol!!!

Yep an update (of what happened on 10th Apr 08)... This is to go down memory lane... I went for my driving test on that day la... So in the morn, Ken woke me up and actually accompanied to bt gombak to meet my instructor n then he went home n do his thesis n prepare for school. So yep, practice was at 8am... Faints... Yep, so did til 10am then rest a while and went to take test at 11am. Yep, took with like 16 other ppl, but dunno how many ppl passed la, cos I didnt go watch the video lo...

What happened was I striked kerb la, and almost mounted kerb... Hahaha... Then the examiner say I stop line didnt stop. Haiz... I did... But I think I got to make that kind of stop, where he can feel it and it's uncomfortable then he considers it stop. Ya, I'll do that next time. Then I didnt check blind spots while turning, changing lane... Hmmmmm... True, I saw him look at me, but too late to check then... Hahaha... Ya, so yep, I failed but I feel that i'm not ready to drive too. Next time round ba... Yep, maybe I can rent car again when I pass, go celebrate... Hee... We'll see when it comes...

Yep, then I went home n washed up, changed n then went out to meet Ken at IMM. We went to rent a car, rather pick up a car which we 'booked'. The rental person rented out the car I ordered, an altis cos I was late n didnt call... But we got a cheaper car instead which was available for 2 days. Yep, a Hyundai Getz. It was small for a grp, but it met our needs of driving ard la, so we're ok with it.

So after we got the car, we drove to bt timah for our last massage session... Then tried the pizza beside the massage place. Then we went home to change my shoe cos the blister was so bad that I couldnt walk. Yep... So after that we went Vivo... Went to buy Ken's hp... He got the all black 6500 slide phone...

And we went to Bistro one zero three for dinner, it's at pasir panjang road, beside manhill restaurant. We over-ordered... Hahaha... Had the escargo, salad, one sphag, one main - the curried chicken thingy n brownie+ice-cream for dessert. Hahah... The curry chicken not that nice, dun try. But the others are good... Spent 60+, so think can go back. Service was good, just a little short handed though... Hahah...

After which we went to Keppel Island, Prive there... Haiz... Stupid security guard la... Spoil my plan... Hahaha... Yep, I brought Ken there n some of my frens were there preparing le...

I forgot to bring blindfold out then Rachel passed it to me at the toilet... Then I brought him over to the place where Kgoon n Meng were waiting... Along the way, Xing was hiding beside the rubbish chute to direct me... Hahaha... THat was so funny... Hahaha... YEp, so I got the heart shaped balloons n the 'flower' from meng n gave it to Ken n asked him to marry me... Hahaha... It was a special day for us... Cos 10 years ago... I also went out with him on this day and gave him my 1st kiss... Hahaha... On the cheek... Yep, it happened quite fast then... We were together for like only 2 months? Then that cheeky boy... Asked him wat he wanna for his bday... Then he said a bday kiss... Faints man... Hahaha... Ya la, so granted his wish lo, pecked him on his left cheek at my void deck... Hahaha... We both remember that memorable day man... Yep... So 10 years later, at Keppel Island, I decided to do something crazy lo... So yep, I proposed to him lo... THen he said "ya". Hee... Well, I'm still waiting for my proposal... But I dun think it'll come soon la, wait for him to grad n secure a job 1st la.

Ken always said that he was the one chasing me when we 1st started out... So proposal time is my turn... So I've done it... But... it is just part of the things which muz be cleared b4 we get married la... There's still another proposal, then application of a flat then marriage will come... So wait... Dun be so anxious la... I'm not even pushing for it, why u all so gan chiong? Cannot wait one??? Hai yo... Hahaha...

Yep yep... So thanks to Xing, meng, Kgoon n Rach who took time off to go down that day depsite ur hectic schedule... And also thanks to Ruix, Denn, Tam n Yan who helped with the planning and the brainstorming stage... Hehe... I can now announce Proj HK 'cheng gong'!!! Hahahha...

Yep, so after that, the 4 of them packed into the small Getz n we went to this place off Cantonment Road there called 'Le Bar'... Went to just chat n played some card games... As usual, xing was always the slow one... But no forfeit la... See we treat u so nice... Hahaha... Yep, so we celebrated Ken's bday there at midnight with a food platter... Yeah... After which we headed home... That was 1+ le... Long day but a great day...

On fri, we went to NUS to 'find' Ken's prof then went to Aljunied to pick up my provisional membership cert from CPA house then went to Kelvin's sch to pick up the plug-in guit. It couldnt fit into the boot!!! Hahaha... Had to put it in the back seat... Then went Ken's place to practise n do some work then had to travel down le... We went riverwalk... We managed to beat the ERP by abt 5 sec. Hahaa... Ken slowed down to abt 30km/h on the highway so that we wont pass the gantry at merchant road b4 7pm... We practically saw the light went out seconds b4 we passed thru... Heh... Yep, so we had zone meeting n celebrated Ken's bday aft that. Gave him cake, present, card... Then we packed into the car when went his bro's to return the guit. Then went home, dropped Xing n rach on the way... So fri was a short day, cos we woke up late... Heh...

On sat, we went to red star at chin swee road there for dim sum with his mom. Then sent his mom back cos it was raining and then returned the car... Then adventure with that car ended then... Yep, so after which, I went for BS n Ken went home to change. After BS, svc, then aft svc, BS... Then went Best for dinner then went Ken's place to get my laptop... And watched TV til 1am... Hahaha.. Then went home, was watchin wo cai wo cai with him... Quite funny la, the comments...

On Sun... That's this morn... Went to Swensens for brunch, was their breakfast actually.. Yep, 9 ppl turned up... To celebrate the bday of 6 of them... Faints... But I thot it was good fellowship, the ppl really gt to know one another... Yeah... So hopefully can have more ppl coming the next time... then went to serve, then came home n did some admin... Then after which went to Kelvin's place by cab to play with Denzel for a while... Then went for buffet at Miramar Hotel... To celebrate Ken's dad, mom n his bday... THen came back after that n watch death note 2... Heh... Then checked email n blogged... So I've updated what happened in the past few days...

Next week will be quite a siong week, with no internet access at the client's place, it may not be easy to get things done, but I pray that everything will be done quickly... I need to really get back into the mood of working le... Got some back log startin to pile up le... Got to clear them fast, if not my clients and mgrs will come n hound me soon man...

Need to go rest le... Realised that pictures speak louder than words, But i didnt take much photos in the past few days... Rach took some... When I was with her... So got to take the photos from her before I can post here... Yep, but to those who read finish the whole entry... U've endurance man... Hahaha... Next post shld be shorter... Heh...

An update: I failed...

Yep, I failed my driving test yesterday, but nevertheless it was a great day... Yep... Hee... I'll update again soon...

I'm not very sad la, I knew I wouldnt pass la, Ken passed the 3rd time round, and b4 he took that test, he knows he's going to pass le. As in confident of driving le. But now I'm not also, so am alright... Even if I passed, I also wouldnt dared to drive on the roads, so i'm not ready yet... Hee... Just more lessons n practice ba... Yep... :)

Ok ok, I packing up... going home le... still wide awake but cant do work le, mind shutted down... cos left one BIG file to clear... Points not that difficult and the mgr is much nicer... Hahaha...

I got to reach Orchard at 9am later... faints... God, u got to sustain me... I need to go thru this wk victorious... Ppl buck up k? Stand in the gap for me ya? Call up my ppl... Oh my mgr went home le also.. The light outside went off by itself... Means no one left le... Haiz... But oh well... I'm leaving too...

A nite out after service...

Today went to meet my cg ppl aft my driving... Didnt go svc today, but fellowshipped with them... Heh... We went to Holland V to relax... Went to this place called English Rose Cafe, it's at a corner, near the Essential O Brew, the party place that side one... Then there was a live band or rather a guy singing nice songs, those soothing love song kind, more blues n jazz kind. Not the techno, dance numbers that kind. Yep, so we ordered a few drinks n chatted la... Muz say the drinks not very nice, but the fellowship was fun. And we dedicated 2 songs n he sang them for us. One is beautiful tonight and another is first of may. Quite cheap la... Each person abt 11 like that. But well, the drinks are not that fantastic, but the music is nice. Probably we'll take milk shake the next time we head over... Heh... But conrad still the best... Heh... Photos of the drinks, nice colours though... Heh...

I needa go start doing work le, played too hard this few days... Ken la, finished his FYP 1ST draft then so happy, wanna relax a bit... Dun wanna start other proj... Heh... But ok la, tml muz really do work le. Got dinner for the bday ppl in his family also... His dad on 1st, his on 11th and his mom's on 15th!!! Altogether in same month, so go celebrate altogether... Ok ok, back to work le...

"On the Anvil" review

I picked this book up at the Attributes sales in Hall 2 during the easter weekend. It's the 1st book written by Max Lucado, the only book which his dad read before he passed away and also the 1st book that was written before he had any children...

It is a compilation of stories of ppl being shaped into God's image... I went to check the dictionary... Anvil...

an·vil (noun)
1a. A heavy block of iron or steel with a smooth, flat top on which metals are shaped by hammering.
1b. Something resembling an anvil, as in shape or function.
2. The fixed jaw in a set of calipers against which an object to be measured is placed.
3. Anatomy See incus.

I also found out that this word appears only once in the bible... In Isa 41:7.

Basically the books is divided into 3 sections, before, during and after being on the anvil... Hahaha... Let me quote from the introduction...
